Philippe has been Co-owner with his wife Catherine and children of Domaine du Cellier aux Moines in Givry since 2004. Philippe PASCAL decided in 2012 to retire from the corporate world to dedicate himself to the renewal of one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy. Established by the Cistercian Monks near 1130, the Cellier aux Moines had been asleep during the last century.

Today, under the lead of the PASCAL family and their technical director and winemaker Guillaume MARKO, Domaine du Cellier aux Moines is flourishing and has expanded from Givry to Montagny and Puligny Montrachet. It is certified organic (since 2020) and biodynamic (since 2023), and produces mostly Premiers Crus.

Philippe Pascal received a Master of Science in DIJON (École Nationale d’Agronomie ,1977). He first served the French government in Africa (Guinea Bissau) and then for ten years in the USA, where he headed SOPEXA to promote French Wines & Food.
In 1990, he joined SEAGRAM, as CEO of Barton & Guestier in Bordeaux, and then of Mumm-Perrier Jouët Group.
In 1994, he joined LVMH, MOET HENNESSY-LOUIS VUITTON, where he was successively CEO of Veuve Clicquot, of MOËT HENNESSY Group, and of LVMH WATCH & JEWELRY, a new division which he developed until 2012.
He decided to retire from LVMH & his roles as a member of the LVMH executive board & advisor to the Chairman, Bernard ARNAULT, after the successful acquisition of BULGARI.
Mr Philippe Pascal was elected chairman of the French Federation of Wines & Spirits Export Companies,FEVS, from 1997 to 2000.  He was awarded the Legion d’Honneur by the President of France.
In addition to his family estate activity in Burgundy, Mr. Pascal is a board member of ROLEX (Geneva),  of S.A.Baron Philippe de Rothschild (Mouton Rothschild), and chairman of Champagne Barons de Rothschild ( JV of the 3 Rothschild family branches).
He is an active investor in a few startups and lifestyle brands.
With Guillaume MARKO, he created in 2021 a new estate in Julienas, Domaine Mont Bessay, considering that Beaujolais Crus are offering a beautiful potential.
Philippe Pascal, 69, and his wife Catherine live in Givry, Burgundy. They have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.
