Chef Emmanuel Rojas came to the states from the Dominican Republic. After culinary school, his first entrance into the professional world was at Momofuku in New York City. He was introduced to Nantucket through Seth and Angela Raynor at The Pearl. He worked his way to sous chef before joining Liam Mackey to open The Nautilus, where he served as chef de cuisine. He is currently Executive Chef at Sandbar and Chef/Owner of Or, The Whale.
