Event Description

Saint-Emilion, Saint-Julien, and Saint-Estephe. These Saintly appellations of Bordeaux produce many of the region’s greatest wines from its top Chateaux.

Join educator and wine enthusiast, Philippe Newlin for an in-depth tasting and interactive discussion on Saint-Emilion is the Food-Friendly Saint. Located on the Right Bank, Saint-Emilion produces wines that are approachable young thanks to their rich, ripe-berry, and texturally smooth character. Saint-Julien is the Elegant Saint. The smallest of the Left Bank appellations, it produces what may be the best representation of what the region has to offer. The wines are typically cabernet-sauvignon dominant blends that marry the power of the noble grape with the finesse of a great terroir. Saint-Estephe is the ‘Power’ Saint. The wines from this cooler growing zone tend to have more structure, more blue and black fruit character, and a touch of spice.

This wine tasting will bring your appreciation for Bordeaux to new heights!
