Jake Krausz’s journey intertwines the worlds of viticulture, viniculture, and music, reflecting a diverse range of passions and talents. Raised amidst the vineyards of Howell Mountain, he cultivated an early appreciation for the intricacies of wine and the natural beauty of the land. Despite initially venturing into the music industry and honing his skills at Berklee College of Music, Jake’s roots eventually drew him back to Napa Valley.
Rejoining his family’s estate in 2010, Jake embarked on a new chapter, immersing himself in the art and science of wine. His journey led him through the rigors of the Court of Master Sommeliers’ Certified Sommelier exam and a formative experience at Arkenstone, where he delved into every facet of wine production alongside winemaker Sam Kaplan.
Today, Jake serves as Arkenstone’s Estate Director and international brand ambassador, orchestrating sales, marketing, and hospitality endeavors with a personal touch. Beyond his official duties, he remains deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, wearing many hats to ensure the success of the family-owned winery.
In addition to his role at Arkenstone, Jake nurtures his entrepreneurial spirit through the Dry Goods Beverage Company, a venture dedicated to curating premium non-alcoholic beverages tailored for adult tastes. Whether in the vineyards, sharing Arkenstone’s story with new markets, or exploring innovative beverage concepts, Jake’s passion for excellence shines through in all his endeavors.
