Niklas Foradori, born in 1997, completed his vintner apprenticeship at the renowned German wineries Wilhelm Weil and Joachim Heger. He then pursues studies in enology and viticulture at Geisenheim
University, Germany. Seeking to broaden his horizons, Niklas gained working experiences across the globe, including stints at prestigious establishments such as Marquis d’Angerville in Burgundy, Cantina Girlan in Alto Adige/Italy, Fontodi in Chianti/Italy, The Eyrie Vineyards in Oregon, and Hamilton Russel Vineyards in South Africa.

In 2023, Niklas continued his family legacy by joining Tenuta J. Hofstätter as its fifth generation. Combining his education, international experiences, and familial tradition, Niklas contributes to
the ongoing excellence of the estate.

With over a century of winemaking heritage, Tenuta J. Hofstätter boasts a rich history rooted
in its exceptional vineyards nestled in the picturesque Alto Adige, Italy’s northernmost region, also
celebrated for its awe-inspiring Dolomite mountains.

As one of the largest family-owned wineries in Alto Adige, J. Hofstätter enjoys global recognition for its outstanding Pinot Noir and Gewürztraminer wines. Situated on both the eastern and western slopes of the southern Adige Valley, the estate’s unique vineyards offer ideal growing conditions for each grape variety, benefiting from diverse soil compositions and optimal microclimates, with elevations ranging from 250 (820 ft) to 850 (2788 ft) meters above sea level.
