Matthew Regan is the Managing Director of VGS Chateau Potelle Winery in Napa Valley, where he has led all aspects of the winery’s operations since joining the estate in 2000. Under his leadership, the winery has continued its commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and innovation.

Prior to his appointment at VGS Chateau Potelle, Matthew managed the dining room and created & curated the wine program at the prestigious Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee, where he refined his expertise in fine dining and hospitality.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Matthew holds multiple degrees and built a strong foundation in culinary arts and wine studies. During his time at the CIA, he worked alongside Chef Jean-Charles Berrouet and Sommelier Denis Toner at The Chanticleer in ‘Sconset, further deepening his appreciation for world-class cuisine and wine and his love for Nantucket.

Having established VGS Chateau Potelle as one of Napa Valley’s premier food and wine destinations, Matthew’s career mirror’s the wineries spirit and vision of hospitality and quality without pretension. Working as the right-hand to proprietor Jean-Noel Fourmeaux for the past 25 years, Matthew embodies the essence of VGS and is dedicated to furthering Chateau Potelle’s legacy as one of the premier boutique wineries in the Napa Valley.
