Martin Beally is a Master Sommelier (2022) and the Director of Wine, Beverage, and Ops Integration at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, where he helps connect beverage strategy, operational execution, and team learning across a national restaurant and winery group with 75 restaurants and over 850,000 wine club members.
Martin began his professional life in information technology, but shifted into hospitality in 2005, starting as a line cook in Seattle before moving to front-of-house. He became the wine buyer at Kimpton’s Tulio Ristorante, taking his CMS Introductory Exam in 2011. After earning Advanced Sommelier in 2013, he helped open Stoneburner, then joined the Wine Spectator Grand Award program at Wild Ginger, later serving as Corporate Beverage Director. In 2019 he joined Seattle’s historic Canlis restaurant, eventually becoming Lead Sommelier. Martin is a member of the CMS-A Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term.
