Nestled above Napa’s Rector Reservoir about 1000 feet above the valley floor, Vangone Vineyard is situated just south of Pritchard Hill and overlooking Oakville Cross Road.  The land was purchased in 1993 with development starting later in 2011. The iron rich volcanic Hambright and its previously untouched soils offered the perfect opportunity to create one of the premier vineyard sites in the valley with the assembled all-star team of winemaker Sam Kaplan, vineyard manager Mario Bazan and vintners Mark & Patty Davidowski.

Born at nearby Travis Air Force base, Mark grew up in the Bay Area passionate about wine. After 30 years in the industry the opportunity arose to showcase the best of Napa Valley from the family’s land in the Vaca Mountain Range overlooking Napa Valley’s eastern slopes. 2014 was their 1^st vintage and 2024 represents the 10 Year Anniversary of Vangone Estate. With a focus on producing a world class refined yet powerful mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, Vangone is just hitting it’s stride.
