Duxbury Oyster Company was formed in 2000 as a father and son hobby. I joined as a farm hand in 2013, fell in love with aquaculture and quickly became the farms operating manager and in 2022 I became owner/operator of the company.
We had been steadily growing and harvesting our Prince Caspian oysters for the Boston/South Shore market, and in 2020 when the industry was thrown into turmoil, I started a wholesale operation that would allow us to sell our oysters all over the country. When the local restaurants were able to reopen we were now equipped to deliver oysters directly to our chefs.
While the wholesale operation continues to grow, it’s the farming that has and always will remain my passion. I hope that everyone enjoys eating a Prince Caspian as much as I enjoy growing them!
