Born in 1984 in Alsace, Céline Hirsch graduated with an oenologist and engineering diploma. She worked in California and Champagne before settling in Beaujolais in 2011. In August of 2018, she joined Auvigue’s team, just as their head winemaker Michel Auvigue was retiring.
Her goal today is to maintain and develop the Auvigue style: elegant wines, maintaining freshness for the Mâcon-Villages and the respect of the terroirs by delicately allying the Chardonnay with the oak for the Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé wines.
Exclusively in charge of the Pouilly-Fuissé vineyard, Céline commenced the conversion towards certified organic farming and additionally is experimenting with biodynamic practices.
