Klaus Gasser is a native of Alto Adige and grew up just 10 miles away from Cantina Terlano. In 1994 he joined Cantina Terlano in a dual role, as Consulting Enologist and Sales and Marketing Director. Over the past 24 years Klaus has become the face of Cantina Terlano and is connected with each and every grower and every aspect of the business. Cantina Terlano is the oldest cooperative in Italy and one of the most respected. Klaus has been instrumental in cementing Terlano’s reputation as Italy’s top white-wine producer.

Klaus has earned his degree in Agricultural Engineering from Ora in Alto Adige in 1988, and trained as a winemaker for six years in Germany at Weingut Erlenbach. He received his sommelier certification from the AIS in 1999.

In his free time Klaus enjoys photography, literature, skiing and exploring the mountains.
