Danilo Drocco was born and raised in the heart of the Langhe, in Piedmont. After graduating at the Oenological University of Alba, he started his career working for renowned wine producer of the region, such as La Spinona and Prunotto, an estate owned by the Antinori Family.

Danilo has now brought his 30 years of experience in the Nebbiolo world to the Nino Negri, to re-interpret the Nebbiolo Chia- vennasca of this Valley in its high-end version.

The Nino Negri winery is one of the most historic wineries of all the Valtellina, founded in the 1987 by Nino Negri, has always been known as the icon of this region. Casimiro Maule spent 48 vintages at the estate, bringing it to its highest level. The flagship wine of the company, the 5 Stelle, has taken for more then 10 years in a row more than 90 points with Wine Spectator.
