A native Burgundian, Amaury Devillard (born on May 27th, 1969) comes from a family that – on his mother’s side – has owned vineyards in Mercurey since the 12th Century.

Studies:
– Business degree in business school – Paris, Master’s degree in Wine international business at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Dijon – Burgundy, Viticulture’s degree : Beaune’s Viticulture school: BPREA – Beaune – Burgundy
– DUTO degree: (Oenologist degree): Dijon University – Burgundy

Then in 1995 Amaury spent six months in South Africa, making wine. Having taken a liking to the ex-pat life, he spent three years (1995-1998) in Spain, where he was Product Manager for Fish & Seafood at Sopexa Barcelona. Amaury then returned to France to take a new step in his career: working for the Tonnellerie Radoux (Cooperage) from 1995 to 1998, he visited clients in Bourgogne, Alsace and Champagne, but also in Spain, Portugal, South America and the United States. He later moved to New York, where he lived from 1998 to 2004, representing the Burgundy Wine Merchant Antonin Rodet in the US, Canada and South America.

In 2005, Amaury returned permanently to Bourgogne, where he established, along with his sister Aurore, the company named “Amaury et Aurore Devillard”, taking over the distribution of the family’s Domaines :
– Château de Chamirey in Mercurey
– Domaine de la Ferté in Givry
– Domaine des Perdrix in Côte de Nuits
– Domaine de la Garenne in Macônnais which belonged to his wife Pauline. In all, 65 hectares (162 acres) of vines and 450,000 bottles, sold in France and in 88 countries around the globe.

He and his sister Aurore bought Domaine Rolet in Arbois (Jura) in May 2018: historical Domaine of 65 hectares (162 acres) producing tremendous Vins Jaunes, floral wines, & Crémant.

Married since 2001, he and his wife Pauline are the parents of three children: one boy & two girls: Gonzague, Amber & Bérénice.
