David is a 25-year veteran of Acker Wines (formerly Acker Merrall & Condit), and one of the world’s most respected wine educators. Acker Wines established in 1820 in New York City, is America’s oldest, continuously operating wine merchant and the world’s largest fine and rare wine auction house. As Managing Director of The Wine Workshop since 2000, he has hosted hundreds of tastings for collectors and wine lovers worldwide and is renowned for his encyclopedic knowledge of rare wines. David has developed tasting events for many great winemakers including: Christian Moueix, Jean-Guillaume Prats, Paul Pontallier, Olivier Krug, Michel Chapoutier, Jacques Lardière, Veronique Drouhin, Erwan Faiveley, Olivier Humbrecht and Jean-Louis Chave.
David is also an accomplished jazz bassist, with a passion for music rivaled only by his love of fine wine.
