Clément Calleja is a seasoned wine professional and the Director USA for Champagne Billecart-Salmon, where he has represented the historic family-owned house for over a decade. Billecart-Salmon, founded in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, is one of the rare Champagne houses to remain independent and family-run, known for its finesse-driven, gastronomy-focused wines.

In his role, Clément brings deep knowledge of Champagne and a calm, thoughtful approach to sharing the Maison’s philosophy — that patience, balance, and humility are essential to crafting exceptional wines. He emphasizes the family house’s pursuit of purity and precision, working with top Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards and engaging in thoughtful cellar experimentation, including oak fermentation and solera aging practices that help keep tradition alive while looking ahead.

Clément holds a master’s degree in international wine marketing and management with a specialization in Champagne, grounding his work in both technical expertise and strategic insight.
