Brandon passed the Master Sommelier exam in 2011 on his first try and is currently a Stage 2 student in the Master of Wine program. He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Wine Educator, Advanced Sake Professional, Certified Spirits Specialist, Italian Wine Ambassador, and Certified Sherry Wine Expert. With experience as a Sommelier and Wine Director since 2006, he began making wine in the Willamette Valley in 2018 and after five vintages under his belt will soon release his first wines under his own label. He has spent over 15 years mentoring aspiring sommeliers and wine professionals and has a passion for blind tasting and educating others. Outside of wine, Brandon enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, outdoor adventures, running, and spending time in the gym.
