Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Ana moved to the US to study Biology at Brown University. After completing her Ph.D. in Virology at Harvard University, she worked in biotech for several years. After one too many lay-offs, she found herself working at a neighborhood restaurant and fell in love with bartending. However, wine was always at the forefront of her life as her father was a wine educator and collector. She has managed the beverage program at the now closed Moody’s Delicatessen & The Backroom in Waltham, MA, and has worked as a Sommelier with Big Heart Hospitality. In August 2022, she earned her Certified Sommelier certificate with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Currently, she is the Beverage Manager at Eataly Boston, where she oversees the beverage programs at all four Eataly restaurants.
