Bobby has dedicated his career to the restaurant and hospitality industry. After graduating from high school, he attended The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, earning a degree in Hospitality Management in 2008.
Following graduation, Bobby gained experience in several restaurants before joining Vetri Cucina in 2009 as a Floor Captain and Sommelier. During his tenure, he deepened his knowledge of wine and cultivated a lasting passion for the craft. In 2014, he earned his Certified Sommelier credential through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
In 2015, Bobby transitioned into wine sales management with an Italian wine importer, a role he held for three years. This position provided extensive travel opportunities throughout Italy, where he visited numerous wine regions and estates. Through these experiences, he developed meaningful relationships with winemakers and restaurateurs while further expanding his expertise in Italian wine.
Bobby returned to Vetri Cucina full time in 2018 as Wine Director and Sommelier. In this role, he oversees the restaurant’s award-winning wine list and cellar, collaborates with visiting winemakers for exclusive dinners, and founded the Sommelier Series—an educational program designed to introduce guests to the wines of specific regions. In 2019, he earned the Italian Wine Ambassador certification from the Vinitaly International Academy.
Under Bobby’s leadership, the wine program at Vetri Cucina has received national recognition, including being named one of the Top 100 Wine Restaurants by Wine Enthusiast and earning accolades from Wine Spectator for its distinctive wine list.
Bobby continues to travel to Italy annually to strengthen relationships with producers and bring new insights to the program. Outside of the restaurant, he enjoys spending time with his husband, Mason, and their dog, Auggie.
