Ratti – Barolo Wine Dinner

Event Description

Break bread with Pietro Ratti as your host, seated at the dinner table and sharing stories of his famed vineyard.

Ratti is a name, long synonymous with Barolo. The Ratti estate is situated entirely within the commune of La Morra, the highest-elevation commune, known for the most elegant expressions of Barolo.

Founded in 1965, Pietro Ratti, son of Renato Ratti, now runs the famed winery. Located in Piedmont (foot of the mountains) northwestern Italy, the region is an undulating patchwork of vineyards and ridges, creating elevations that vary by 300 meters or more. The subsoils are of marine/sedimentary origin and the soils vary from hard-packed clay to more eroded and less fertile sandstone. Varied soil, elevation, and minerality result in wines boasting great integrity and depth.

Enjoy the Northern Italian cuisine of Chef Josh Ziskin, chef/owner of Brookline’s beloved La Morra.

This five-course dinner features elegant seasonal fare and thoughtful wine pairings, presented with stories from the vineyards.

This event will take place in the intimate setting of a private island residence with just 20 guests and will begin with a Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame Champagne reception at 7:00 pm.
