Purchase TicketsAn Evening of Classic Red Burgundy: Terroir, Tradition & Taste
In the intimate setting of a private island residence, this extraordinary Burgundy dinner will have just 14 guests and 16 world-class wines from the region’s most respected Domaines.
Please join us to celebrate classic Red Burgundy. Perfect for both longtime collectors and those just beginning to explore this remarkable region. The evening will focus on the three signatures that define Burgundy: the winemaker, the terroir, and the vintage. Together, they tell the story behind every great bottle.
We’ll travel through Burgundy village by village, starting in Gevrey-Chambertin at the top of the Côte de Nuits and making our way south to Volnay in the Côte de Beaune. Along the way, you’ll taste the mineral-driven wines of Gevrey-Chambertin, the earthy and wild character of Morey-Saint-Denis, the rustic depth of Nuits-Saint-Georges, the elegant and velvety wines of Chambolle-Musigny, the expressive power of Vosne-Romanée, and the refined, silky beauty of Volnay.
Featured wines include selections from Dujac, Jean-Luc & Eric Burguet, Denis Mortet, Trapet Père & Fils, Fourrier, Hubert Lignier, Duroché, Mugnier, Henri Gouges, Chevillon, Hudelot-Noëllat, Méo-Camuzet, A.F. Gros, Marquis d’Angerville, Comtes Lafon, and Domaine de Montille.
Whether you’re a seasoned Burgundy lover or simply curious to learn more, this will be an unforgettable evening of exceptional wines paired with delicious cuisine. Our guest chef, James Beard Award Semifinalist® Douglass Williams of MIDA (Boston) is a Burgundy wine lover. He brings years of experience creating regional menus that celebrate the nuances of each wine pairing.
The evening will be moderated by David Hamburger, Director of Special Events & The Wine Workshop for Acker Wines in New York. A 25-year veteran of Acker and one of the world’s most respected wine educators. Acker Wines (formerly Acker Merrall & Condit), established in 1820 in New York City, is America’s oldest, continuously operating wine merchant and the world’s largest fine and rare wine auction house
The dinner will begin with a Champagne and Caviar Reception at 7:30pm.
