The Battle of the Cabs is ON!
Don’t miss this exciting dinner where the top wineries from California and around the globe go head to head putting their best juice forward! You will be led through a blind tasting of Rock Star Cabernets – primarily from Napa and a few stars from Sonoma, Italy, and Chile.
Cabernet Sauvignon has a powerful presence and is the most beloved red grape in the world. Cabernet Sauvignon formed originally as a hybrid crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Cabernet Sauvignon wines are made as a single varietal (100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes) or as blends (a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and other grapes – often Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec).
This 4-course dinner will be served blind (you will not know which wine you are drinking) with 2-3 wines per course. Our guest chefs for the evening include David Blessing of the Stateroom in Boston and Johnny Sheehan of Salt in Plymouth, The chefs will create a thoughtful menu to match the flavors and nuances of the gorgeous, big, bold wines on the battlefield.
The evening will be lively and interactive, filled with stories and strong opinions.
Arrive a little early to begin the evening with Champagne Pierre Jouet and Canapés downstairs in the lounge at the Nantucket Inn. Then head up to begin the battle in the 2nd-floor ballroom!
