Aperture Cellars – 100 Point Wine Dinner

Event Description

This was an unforgettable evening of 100-point wines, lively family stories, and inspired, chef-driven cuisine.

Aperture Cellars champions a range of stunning Bordeaux-style wines from the Sonoma Valley. Founded in 2009 by winemaker Jesse Katz, who was just named Wine Enthusiast’s Winemaker of the Year and was also the first winemaker ever featured on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. Most recently, Aperture Cellars was featured on World’s 50 Best Vineyards.

Andy Katz, Jesse’s father and renowned photographer who was the inspiration for the name “Aperture” led guests on an artistic journey. The winery features Andy’s photography on its labels, and the estate’s architecture is designed to showcase his work, reflecting their shared passion for visual art and, in Jesse’s case, wine.

Katz has produced over three dozen 100-point wines across his portfolios. This dinner featured a 5-course menu created by award-winning chef Tom Berry,  the Culinary Director of Boston’s Yvonne’s, Coquette, ROKA,  and others. A collection of 100-point wines were featured and the great stories behind them.

This was a night of wine, family, art, and storytelling that came beautifully into focus.

The dinner started with a Champagne Reception.
