Angela Vavricka, Opus One Assistant Winemaker, has overseen all cellar operations since 2022. After gaining experience in various positions throughout her time at Opus One, Angela joined the winemaking team with valuable insight to oversee the dynamic cellar operations. As a member of the winemaking team, she has made a significant impact on wine quality.

Angela grew up in the East Bay of San Francisco in an Italian American family and was introduced to winemaking at an early age. Smitten by her experience of assisting her grandfather in making garage wine, Angela earned a degree in Wine and Viticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2014.

Angela is driven by the collaborative spirit of her team and the greater Napa Valley wine community. She believes in the power of shared knowledge and teamwork. Angela is passionate about the art and science of winemaking, and her dedication to the craft is evident in her leadership and commitment to quality.

Opus One produces ultra-premium wines at its Napa Valley winery in Oakville, California. The 2021 vintage was released on October 1st, 2024, and it is distributed in all 50 U.S. States and 90 countries worldwide.
