Linkie Marais is an accomplished chef, world traveler, artist, and TV personality who has a passion for living life to the fullest. Linkie immigrated with her family from South Africa in 1999 and has been carving her way to success in the culinary world by finding her passion and ultimately, her “American Dream.”
When she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Cum Laude) from Mississippi University for Women, she became a fulltime pastry chef and wedding cake artist. After competing in the popular show “Food Network Star Season 8,” Linkie started traveling the country to lead demos, classes and high-end events at Food and Wine Festivals, corporate events and private parties. She partnered up with The Big Green Egg as Grill Master/Pit Master in 2015 and traveled doing grilling classes and demos.
She has catered for well- known individuals including President Obama, Jack Nicklaus, and Franki Valli. Linkie’s enthusiasm and skills at creating new and exciting recipes and menus has landed her some of the most elite events around the country.
In November 2018, she explored yachting and fell in love with the high energy and superior standards of the industry. The yachting industry fell in love with her too, and she continues to work on the world’s oceans today and fly to the most remote places to create her food art.
Linkie has a great sense of adventure, a passion for educating others, and loves a challenge. Her magnetic energy and flair for grilling landed her on the cast of “FireMastersSeason 3”. With over 200 original recipes, Linkie always pushes the envelope when it comes to cuisine. She currently travels the world as a Yacht and Private Chef and continues to raise the standards with her masterful innovations, stunning aesthetic and unparalleled wine pairings.
