Anthony’s first wine epiphany happened in 2015 while he was a barista at The Nomad restaurant in Manhattan when one night, a sommelier there poured him a taste of ’85 Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon in a coffee mug!

It was a profound experience, and he immediately transitioned from specialty coffee to pursuing sommelier studies and finding work as a sommelier assistant at Rebelle restaurant on the Bowery in SoHo where he cut his teeth on old Napa wines, Bordeaux, Rhone and Burgundy.

In 2017 Anthony passed the Certified Sommelier exam with the CMS, in 2019 achieved WSET 3 with distinction and passed the Vinitaly Italian Wine Ambassador exam; and in 2022, he passed the Bourgogne Master Level exam with the Wine Scholar Guild, all of which he accomplished in his first attempt.

Along the way Anthony has worked as a sommelier at Aldo Sohm Wine Bar, Coast at The Ocean House, Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant and Twin Farms. He has traveled to Burgundy and Piedmont, the Finger Lakes and Santa Barbara.
