Arkenstone Vineyards – Napa Valley Wine Tasting

Event Description

Family-owned Arkenstone epitomizes the Napa dream. Perched on Howell Mountain, aka “heaven” with breathtaking views of Napa Valley, they have an underground cave winery and produce collectible yet approachable wines.

Join Jake Krausz, son of founders Ron and Susan Krausz for a guided tasting of their celebrated wines. Their family purchased the estate in 1988, and transformed the steep, rocky terrain into 12 acres of organic vineyards in the late 90s. They completed the winery and caves in 2008 and have been organically farming and making wines ever since. “Farming on Howell Mountain gives us the opportunity to have very concentrated, ripe fruit while still maintaining wonderful acidity,” he explains. “That acidity is key to the wine’s superb ability to pair with food, which is ultimately what sommeliers seem to love about the wine…It’s a serious wine that always begs for another sip.” ‌

Fun facts:  The French Laundry was the first restaurant to carry Arkenstone wines. Michelin Star restaurants like Eleven Madison Park and Per Se serve these wines!

It is a treat and an honor to have Arkenstone join us at the NWF this year!

The tasting will take place in the unique setting of a private island residence with just 24 guests.
