11am-12pm SE-1 Nantucket and Champagne in 1810
While guests sip Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, Darra Goldstein, editor of Gastronomica, America's most thoughtful food magazine, will moderate a discussion of Nantucket and Champagne in 1810, the first year that Veuve Clicquot released a vintage Champagne. Featured guests will be Veuve Clicquot Cellar Master Dominique Demarville and Ben Simons, Robyn & John Davis Chief Curator of the Nantucket Historical Association. While guests gather, they will have the opportunity to taste cheeses from Vermont Butter & Cheese Creamery, presented by Karen Daseke: Bijou, which just received a Sofi Award at the NASFT, and their first mixed-milk cheese, Cremont, which has only been available for a few weeks.
