Nantucket and Champagne in 1810 While guests sip Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, Darra Goldstein, editor of Gastronomica, America's most thoughtful food magazine, will moderate a discussion of Nantucket and Champagne in 1810, the first year that Veuve Clicquot released a vintage Champagne. Featured guests will be Veuve Clicquot Cellar Master Dominique Demarville and Ben Simons, Robyn & John Davis Chief Curator of the Nantucket Historical Association. After the discussion, we will taste three vintages of Veuve Clicquot, each paired with an artisan caviar from Rich Brauman of Little Pearl. Wines: Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2002 Blanc, Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2002 Rose, and Veuve Clicquot Rare Vintage 1985 Rose. While guests gather, they will have the opportunity to taste cheeses from Vermont Butter & Cheese Creamery, presented by Karen Daseke: Bijou, which just received a Sofi Award at the NASFT, and their first mixed-milk cheese, Cremont, which has only been available for a few weeks.
