The Tenth Annual Nantucket Wine Festival Harbor Gala will feature 32 stations, each with a winemaker or winery representative and a restaurant chef (from on or off-island) whose cuisine is chosen to match the wines. This is sure to be the event of the season! The Gala will be held at the White Elephant on Thursday, May 20th, 2010, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Special guest this year will be Todd English of The Summer House and Figs at 29 Fair, who will be appearing on the Sub-Zero/Wolf/Clarke stage.
2010 wineries will include: Alex Gambal, Arns Winery, Arrowood, Australian Premium Wine, C. Donatiello Winery, Cain Vineyard & Winery, Cliff Lede, Continuum, Domaine Anglada-Deleger, Domaine Comte Senard, Donelan Wines, Duckhorn Wine Company, Elyse, Fine Estates from Spain, Gundlach Bundschu Winery, Hess Collection, Hirsch Vineyards, Justin Vineyards, Kristine Ashe Vineyards, Landmark Vineyards, Larkin Wines, Maison Ambroise, Maison Joseph Drouhin, Martinelli Winery, Miner Family Winery, Peter Lehmann Wines, Ponzi Vineyards, Pride Mountain Vineyards, Robert Craig Wine, Robert Sinskey Vineyards, Rombauer Vineyards, Silver Oak, Veuve Clicquot, and Wente Vineyards.
Restaurants and food purveyors participating in the 2010 Gala will include: American Seasons, Bartlett's Ocean View Farm, Brant Point Grill, Chanticleer, Cinco, Company of the Cauldron, Dune, 51 Lincoln, Fifty-Six Union, Figs at 29 Fair, Galley Beach, Great Harbor Yacht Club, Hanover Inn, La Laiterie at Farmstead, La Morra, Languedoc Bistro, Les Zygomates/Sorriso, LoLa 41, Metro Bis, Pearl/Boarding House/Corazon del Mar, Queequeg's/Town, Ranch 616, Salumeria Rosi, SeaGrille, Stowe Mountain Lodge, Straight Wharf, The Summer House, Topper's, Tremont 647, and 21 Federal.
Also featured are Acqua Panna and S. Pellegrino waters, Cisco Brewers, Citation Air, Kerry Hallam, Pure Dark Chocolates, Samuel Adams, Sub-Zero/Clarke/Wolf, and WGBH.
A portion of the proceeds of the Harbor Gala goes to support Nantucket Combined Charities, Inc., which was formed in 2009 to raise funds for nonprofit educational organizations on Nantucket.
